Delete Multiple Line items from Page List

Hello,

Users are complaining for not able to delete a Batch of lines from Page list. For example they want to delete a batch of purchase orders, or planned work orders from purchase order page list or planned work order list. Is it possible customize this functionality in NAV thought it is possible to delete multiple lines from the purchase line of the purchase order. Please advise any available option or page with same functionality in NAV.

It actually depends on the page and type of data you want to delete. You can delete multiple lines from one purchase order (under certain conditions), but you can't delete several purchase headers in the list of purchase invoices, they need to be deleted one by one via user interface. You can delete them directly from tables as administrator of the database, also under certain conditions (e.g., no partial receipts, reservations etc.).

This means, when you delete a sales order, system performs a variety of checks, that is why for many lists it is not possible a batch multiple deletion (e.g., list of item cards as well). Thus, writing any customization that would automatically delete a bunch of purchase headers is very challenging and requires to control lot of variability in the project.

Some type of data can be cleaned using Administration ->IT Administration ->Data Deletion

You can do it by puchase line. select the required line which you want to delete and delete the same.

You can delete the header by selecting .You need to delete it one by one

If you want to delete by selection of multiple PO then you need to write program to execute that

Hi Eri,

What you need, is not available in standard NAV so either you need to do customization (which require consideration of many conditions like partial receipts, invoice, reservations)for the same or else delete records one by one.

Eri,

Standard NAV allows to delete purchase orders one by one. While deleting, NAV performs lot of verifications of why the document cannot be deleted (e.g. - partial receipts). Thus, writing any customization for mass deletion of headers is not recommended.
