How to rollup Fields (quantity on hand)

Posted on by 2,909

In Field Service we have Product Inventory which is a child of Product.

Product Inventory is based on Warehouses as below in an image from Neil Parkhurst blog.

I am trying to show in a Product view a Sum of all "Quantity On Hand" etc. With a rollup I only get the option to Count(Product Inventory) so would get a rollup field of 5 rather than a quantity on hand of 13.

Any ideas of how to rollup these columns without custom code?

Oops was using a whole rather than decimal.

Will likely stay with workflow anyway as it will better to have live totals.

    New Workflow Product entity.

Set to run after when Quantity on Hand changes and start child workflow.

Run “msdyncrmWorkflowTools (1.0.40.0):Rollup Functions” and use fetch to return child records.

Then update Product -> Quantity on Hand field with “SUM(Rollup Functions)” from above.

I am confused why I can't access the floating point fields since Product to Product Inventory is 1:N.
