Timer control add-in in BC SaaS

Hi,

Has anyone tried timer-based control add-in from new book Mastering Microsoft Dynamics Business Central on web client?

For me it's not working, but I'm not sure what I'm missing here.

I need something like ping pong control that works on cloud.

Thanks

On Premise via AL, the timer failed to work for me and I had to go with just using the job queue every minute.

If this is a UI element however, say a repeating trigger on a page, then you should be able to have some js addin running with an event trigger on the page that subscribes to it.
