Is it wise to change properties on default field?

Hello,

i need to change default properties on default fields? Filed type is "Currency" and properties i want to change is "Minimum Value", default value of this properties is zero but it needs to be negative so i would be able to write negative values in that default field.

So question is, is it wise to change that properties value?

It should work just fine.

And it's not wise or not wise. It all depends on what you need.

By the way, if you look at the Est. Revenue field in the Opportunity entity, you'll see that it can be negative by default.
