Data Migration from CRM 2013 to Dynamics 365 using SSIS

Posted on by 310

Hello,

I am migrating Data from CRM 2013 to Dynamics CRM 365 using Kingswaysoft SSIS.

Issue 1: While migration Lead information, Destination CRM Editor does not automatically map "CreatedOn" field. Nor I am getting an option to map this field from source to destination. I already have CreatedOn field in Dynamics 365 under Leads. What can be the possible reason?

Issue 2: Is there any way where I can migrate the Lead information along with the status? I tried migrating some leads. They all get the status "New" assigned to them. Can I migrate the leads which are "Qualified" or I need to migrate them as New and then qualify it manually? (I map statecode and statuscode from source to destination)

Thank you.

    Hi Huzefa,

The source 'createdOn' field need to map to Target 'OverrideCreatedOn' field. This way it will work.

Please share the screenshot of mapping if not working.

    Thanks,

    Prateek

    Hello,

I have figured out Issue 2.

As for issue 1, I have tried mapping overriddencreatedon field from source to destination. It still does not get updated in the createdon field.

When you map overridecreatedon, it will updated the createdon field.

issue 1: Please map the overridecreatedon field instead of createdon field.

issue 2: New record cannot be created in deactivated state. You need to create them and then deactivate them.

    Thanks,

    Prateek

I tried displaying overriddencreatedon field on the System View but still no difference. The dates are the current dates under Createdon.

When you use the overridden created on field, it does not show that date on the Created On, but on a different field.

Try display both the Created On and Overridden Created On fields and see if there is a difference.

    Hello,

Status of the lead is sorted. I just migrated statecode and the status migrated as well. I did not migrate statuscode along with the statecode.

I still cant migrate the dates to the destination. I tried using overriddencreatedon field but the leads are created as per the current date and time.

    Issue 1:

The CreatedOn field cannot be mapped in the destination entity. You can use the overriddencreatedon field. If you must have the same values as the source environment you might be able to do it using code and accessing the sdk.

    Issue 2:

Not sure about the lead. You should be able to pass the statecode and statuscode. It works for other entities, so should work for lead as well. There is no lead close entity like quote and order...

Is your KingswaySoft purchased, or just the development version?

If purchased you can post this question to KingswaySoft support.

If you don't get any other answers about this, let me know and I will ask KWS.
