I have an Excel Created Journal sheet that I wish to import in to GP, I know all the fields etc and how to Copy / Paste but is it possible to Auto Fill the GP header with fields that are also within the Excel Journal? The fields I refer to are
- Transaction Date
- Transaction Type
- Source Document
- Currency
Perhaps there is an Add-in that is more advanced that the GP Copy/Paste technique?

Would Integration Manager allow the automated population of these header fields for the Journal (and other documents) if they existed within the 'Excel Journal' and if so, do these fields pass through a validation test prior to posting?

You cannot do it with the copy / paste function - which is a pretty new function in Dynamics GP.
You can import journals using Integration Manager - this would be the most supported method. Integration Manager is licensed separately so you would need to check whether you have it.
Then you can use it to import journals, payables transactions, receivables transactions, bank transactions. You might need someone to help you set some up, depending on your skill levels. There are sample files in Integration Manager that you can refer to.
