Dynamics GP (Not Responding) issue

I'm trying to assist a customer who is experiencing an issue where GP hangs at times and they have to 'End Task' on the app.  The window name reads as 'Microsoft Dynamics GP (Not Responding)' and it just hangs.  It can happen during any process in GP, the following entries are from when the user was trying to post a PM trx batch. 

When they log back into GP, they receive the message that there was a batch interruption and automatically goes through the recovery process. 

I've capture a dexsql.log of the issue and stops with the following lines:

Any ideas what is causing this to happen?

    Well, I would get the CXT tech people involved and ask them to figure out what happened during the update that broke something in GP.

    Frank,

    They're running GP from a local install pointing to a shared forms and reports dictionary.

    The customer explained the problem starting on 11/5 after they updated their CXT system, that they use for dispatch and order entry.

    Sounds like a network comm issue to me - what's their environment?  How do users access GP?  Local client or Citrix, RDP, cloud?
