Are there any Web Services that are pre-built from Microsoft that can be used for writing or extracting setup records (customer, inventory, vendor). I have seen some "out of the box" services for AX and GP but nothing for SL

I work for an integration company called eBridge Software
and we specialize in integrating business documents with MS Dynamics SL. Our prebuilt connection for SL has the capability to to extract and write customers, vendors, inventory records to/from SL. When writing to SL we follow the same validation and business rules that SL uses to verify the integrity of the data we are importing.

Depending on what you want to accomplish, I have two suggestions. Catalina Technologies (catalinatechnology.com)has developed a some web services around specific functions in SL. EHTC Technology Group (ehtc.com) has developed an integration between Dynamics CRM and SL.
