Out of box cash receipts report

In Quickbooks I can quickly access all cash receipts for a time period with a click. Is there a way to do that in BC? Currently I'm going to the chart of accounts and then filtering on payments and the date. Is there an out of box report or view that does this for me in BC? I'd just like to see all the payments coming in the door for a time period (usually the previous week). Thanks!

    Hello Moosiah22,

Thank you for the question. There are a couple of options that I was able to find, however, these are not exhaustive.

    1. Search for and open the page called Customer Ledger Entries. Filter Document Type = Payment. Filter on Posting Date, as desired. There is not a report from this page per se, however you could click Page - Open in Excel in order to dump the records to Excel for further evaluation, printing, etc.

    2. Search for and open the report called Customer Account Detail. Filter by date, as desired. Filter Document Type = Payment. Generate the report. This report is sorted by Customer, but then will show all the payments which fall into the filters that were used.

I hope that this information helps.

Thanks Tammy! After testing both methods, I think that we'll build a report using the customer ledger entries so that we can pull the total dollar amount received each week without having to export to Excel every time.
