Re: NAV to GP Integration
Hi Chad - yes, we have performed integrations from NAV to GP in the past. Not from the NAV POS however. Is this a third party add on for NAV? or is it core NAV product?
But the fact that it is NAV to GP gives you no more advantage than if it was any other system to GP.
Best bet I believe is to use eConnect (That's my personal opinion. Others will no doubt disagree). There are other similar third party products out there - but these are built on the basic eConnect product - so in my opinion, its best to use the standard MS eConnect core GP product (and use it in its supported way).
You will want to involve someone on the NAV side to populate custom tables with SOP transactional data as and when these transactions need to flow into GP. You will also want to think about Deposits, updates to SOP Headers and Lines, VAT, Multicurrency, and possibly new customer and inventory item integrtions as well (i.e. maybe new customers are created in POS - these will eithre need to be integrated into GP, or manually created - otherwise the SOP integrations will be rejected). As with anything like this - upfront planning and engaging with an experienced resource is a good idea.
