Error Publishing Extension

I am trying to follow the

post to customize the API. So far it's pretty straight forward and I am able to build and compile after having added a field to the API.

however, the problem comes when publishing. This extension was published before, but since adding the dependency for APIV2 and downloading the symbols successfully, I try to publish and i get this error at the end of the process.

If i rollback my changes and try to publish, it works...

The request for path /BC180/dev/apps?tenant=default&SchemaUpdateMode=forcesync&DependencyPublishingOption=default failed with code UnprocessableEntity. Reason: Cannot upgrade the extension 'XXXX by MyCompany 18.2.0.0' because one or more dependencies could not be satisfied. Unsatisfied dependencies: _Exclude_APIV2_ by Microsoft 18.2.0.0
