Hi,

I have make fresh installation on Test Server, for Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit machine). Then i install Windows SharePoint Server 3.0, as provided by Microsoft site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962216).

I have check in Control Panel --> Administration Tool, SharePoint Central Administration & SharePoint Products & Technologies Configuration, exist.

I can also run SharePoint Home Page via Internet Explorer.

Now I am trying to install Business Portal for GP 2010R2. But I get message that "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 must be installed".

Please guide me on this.

Irfan,

What version of BP are you installing?

BP 5.0 (for GP 2010) supports WSS 3.0/MOSS 2007 (X86). BP 5.1 (also for GP 2010) supports SharePoint 2010 Foundation and Server (X64).

Based on your above information, the version of SharePoint you are using is not supported.
