Removing Attachment for a Note

Posted on by 50

My company is currently using CRM 2011. When adding a note to a Case record, the system provides the option to attach a file. After the file is attached (User browses for the file, selects, and clicks "Attach" under the upload window), the system provides the option to "Remove" the file and start over. However, it appears that once the file has been attached, it adds the note record to the Case. When using Google Chrome or Firefox, CRM does not allow the user to "Remove" the attachment. Selecting "Remove" does not do anything. However, when using Internet Explorer, CRM does allow the User to remove the attachment and start over.

Does anyone know if this is a known issue when using Google Chrome? Also, is this issue fixed in a CRM 2011 rollup?

Thanks!

We are currently using Windows 7 as our operating system. Some users are using Windows XP, but most are on Windows 7. We have tested this several times with different users and all tests point to the same result -- we are unable to remove attachments using the "REMOVE" button on the attachment window in Google Chrome.

Officially CRM 2011 is not supported by Chrome.. the only supported browsers are IE 9-10.

So any errors related to Chrome... unfortunetly you will be unable to request a fix or a solution on how to do this.

CRM 2011 has support for Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.
