Using Intransit inventory as part of the MRP

Posted on by 425

Do you know of any software that includes the in transit in the MRP calculation.  I know that GP does not include items on an incoming in transit transfer are not included in the destination sites MRP.  Since we are using the in transit to ship product from China this is a large hole in the calculation and I was wondering if you knew of any third parties that might handle this or any suggestions  to work around this issue

The pre-Intransit Transfer method of handling this was complimentary SO/POs where the accounts accomplish nothing other than moving the inventory through a temp account to the receiver.  POs issued by the receiving site are seen by MRP as a planned receipt.
