Sum of Incoming and outgoing emails count in Queue

Hi,

I'm working on CRM 2013, I want to get the sum of incoming emails and out going emails in Queue.
How do I get it? 

Any suggestion that would be highly appreciated.

    you can create a plugin on 'Create' event of 'Queue Item' entity. There can be a counter field on Queue which you will increment by one on 'Post Create' event of Queue Item.
