When i update the Field service representative's name on an account - and this is the only thing i am updating , the CRM updates all past history and moves all current Activities across to that new FSR name - and changes all previous notes on the time line to my name even though i did not create them
This seems to be a glitch somewhere and i need to be able to fix this as we need all activities to stay attached to the CSO that is looking after that customer so i have to manually move everything back once i have updated the FSR - a duplication of work
has anyone else dealt with this ?

I did not find such "Field Service Representative" field on account form so is this a custom field in your instance?
If so, please check the following points.
1.Check the onSave event of the form and Onchange event of the "FIeld Service Representative" field on account form and see if there is any custom JS function on these events which may cause this issue.
2.Try to update the account by other fields and see if the same situation will happen.
3.Check if there is any custom workflow/plug-in/custom workflw will be triggered when updating the account record.
4.Check if there is any Power Automate (Flow) will be triggered when updating the account record.
Since this field is a custom field and in pure environment updating account will not cause this issue, please pay attention about the above points.
