change fiscal periods

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have changed the last day of fiscal year from 9/30 to 12/31, and # of periods from 12 to 15. However, once I click the "calculate" button, the date of periods are changed to 10/1/2017, 10/31/2017, 11/30/2017.....11/30/2018.

I have adjusted the date of period 2-15 to the fist day of each month and clicked "calculate" again, but all dates of period 2-15 are back to the last day of each month. Can anyone advise whether I should re-calculate after changing the date of each period?   Thanks!

    I agree,

If you have odd period dates, you must change them manually. The system will not recalculate it the way you want it to.

Do NOT recalculate the second time!  (You only click it once to "build" the periods.  Then you just need to override the dates since you are building a non-standard fiscal year.)
