Hi There,

The probability field is a locked field which is tied to the stage entered. I would like my reps to be able to override the set % as the probably can change based on a myriad of circumstances and it's important that a sales rep updates a realistic value for forecasting purposes. Any ideas on how I we can do this?

Hi Billy S,

If you unlock the probability field then the sales reps will be able to edit the value of the field assuming that they have an appropriate security role.

Hello Bill -

Can you please provide the schema name of this field in your system - and perhaps the version number of your instance? I ask because in my current instance of Microsoft Dynamics 365, which is version 9.0.0.2251, the probability field is "closeprobability", as shown below, and it has no functional relationship with the sales stage, and is not locked in any way to the users, if we put this field on a form. Any user with permission can edit this field freely, and it does not change when the sales stage is advanced. Perhaps you are referring to a field that has been customized in some fashion.
