Microsoft Dynamics RMS Adding Item To Purchase Order - Cannot Add a Existing items using Add Item Button

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi All,

I have an installation that is Running Microsoft RMS 2.0 FP1 (Latest Update).

The Operator has an existing old Item and it is a standard inventory Item.

Sometimes when creating a new Purchase order and add the new items it does not work.

This only happens when using add item and not Quick Scan.

You can find the item by searching on item lookup code but when selecting it, it does not bring selection from find window to item list window for purchase order item listing.

Your assistance will be much appreciated.

Thanks

First, we are not recommending the FP for usage yet, its still rather buggy.

The fix to update the numbers that the FP is supposed to be giving for past sales and purchases, 3 months late, was just made available last week, KB2451854 https://mbs2.microsoft.com/Knowledgebase/KBDisplay.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;2451854&p=133

    BUT

That doesn't work if your system is not set to US region & language codes, oops!

Next, I'm assuming this is running on XP or Vista.  If so, you need to install KB961451 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/961451/ on all of the machines that are running RMS as there is a known issue.
