Sub Assembly in AX 2012

Hi,

looking for some help in setting up a sub assembly in Dynamics AX 2012. I am assuming that I would set up a top level number for the sub assy bom and list all the parts within that. Would I just then attach that top level sub assy number into the top level level bom ?

In a word, 'Yes'!

And you have the choice to make the sub-assembly a Phantom line (on the BOM of the top level item). You can do this if the subassembly is never actually held in stock.
