Your Business Central Was Not Updated - Wave 2 2021

I've scheduled the update for overnight (6PM-6AM) on our production tenant two nights in a row, and I keep getting the same message at the end of the scheduled window.

"Business Central was not updated on your scheduled date and time. We apologize and have rescheduled your update for seven days from now. You will receive another notification with the rescheduled date and time. If the scheduled date or time is inconvenient for your business, you can easily reschedule the update"

There are no more details provided about what is causing it not to update, and the "Status" of the upgrades in my region is "Active".

Has this happened to anyone else with Wave 2 2021? Is there somewhere I can go in the Admin center to see why the upgrades are not going through?

Thank you!

    Hi

This happened to us with Wave 1 2021. We asked our partner and they checked with Microsoft and turned out Microsoft had some sort of an issue in backend that effected a few customers. Microsoft resolved the issue and we upgraded after that.

You can ask your partner to check with Microsoft.

    Thanks

    Drew,

Wave 2 2021 was postponed a few weeks back and just restarted this week. You will see it update based on your Date and Time you have setup on the Admin Environment.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Thanks! Maybe they are still experiencing issues with the update? I scheduled it for upgrade 11/1 and 11/2 after the updates had resumed, and received the message shown above both times. I'll try again tonight.

    Hello,

If you need more information, you can raise a question to Microsoft via your partner or CSP. We will need your tenant ID and can look up telemetry to see what happened. It is correct that we restarted upgrade process.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Same problems those days.... We planned with our MS Partner the upgrade from 18.5 to 19.0. We tried 2 nights ago (17h00-23h00 failed / 23h00-05h00 failed). We retry this night 2 times again failed.

As a end customers this has an impact. We plan disruption on our production environment, inform users, plan time to fix small post-migration problems (and to not arrange things this update is forced by Microsoft at the worst period, end of the year).

The things that make me angry is: NO INFORMATIONS by Microsoft. I could perfectly understand if there is a technical problem but we need (MUST) be informed why (end-customers and Microsoft Partner). The way used by Microsoft to upgrade BC is not at the professional level we can wait from an ERP system editor....
