Layaway to Sales Reporting

Posted on by 140

When a Layaway is closed, it will obviously show as a sale for the particular day it was closed. When you run the Layaway Summary Report, the Layaway will show as closed but it will not show the date closed or a correlating sales transaction number. Conversely when you look at the Detailed Sales Report, it will not show the Layaway number that was closed on a particular sales transaction. Does anyone know of a way to bump these up against each other? Just trying to keep better tabs on Layaways. Thanks for any help!

    Just started guessing.  Looks like this is it.

    Begin Column

      FieldName = "[Transaction].RecallID"

      DrillDownFieldName = ""

      DrillDownReportName = ""

      StoreIDFieldName = ""

      Title = "Other #"

      VBDataType = vbString

      Formula = ""

      ColHidden = False

      ColNotDisplayable = False

      FilterDisabled = False

      ColWidth = 840

      GroupMethod = groupmethodNone

      ColFormat = ""

      ColAlignment = flexAlignLeftTop

    End Column

    RE: Layaway to Sales Reporting

    How do you know how much money you have received as payments towards layaways for a month time-frame?

    If you can give me the sql script for that section, I can just add it and test to see if it will run?

    Thanks,

    Scott can you check the TRANSACTION table and see if when RecallType = 4, it saves the layaway / WO number in ReferenceNumber? If it does, he could add that column to his report.

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for the reply and sorry it's taken so long to get back here.  That pulls in the closed date which will be helpful but would it be possible to also get the transaction number for the sale?

    Thanks,

    Josh

    RE: Layaway to Sales Reporting

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

    The following report may provide the information that you are looking for. Please note that you will need access to CustomerSource to access it.

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../Custom_Layaway_Payment_Report.zip

    To use the report, complete the following steps:

    1. Exit Store Operations Manager.

    2. Click the Download link and click Open.

    3. Select the .qrp file in the .zip file and click Extract.

    4. Browse to the default reports folder found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Retail Management System\Store Operations\Reports\. You also can find the location of the receipt files by opening Store Operations Administrator, choosing File | Configuration, clicking the Paths tab, and viewing the path found on the Reports line.

    5. Use Store Operations Manager to print the report by choosing Reports | Custom.

    Please let me know if the report does not work for you.

    Thank you,
