We have a client who has told us that after we migrated from their SQL 2012 reporting services for Microsoft GP to a to a SQL 2019 reporting surfaces box that all reports in the original 2012GP systems database were made to point to 2019 is this a possibility why does it do this and how do you prevent that from happening.
Is this possible and why would it have done it without us knowing it. In the past, I recall that you would move your gp database from 2012 to 2019 or to a higher version and then you would have to log in and redeploy reports from within the dynamic system database to the new sql reporting services server this seems to have migrated and picked up on the fact that you were on a server with ssrs reporting services and then it automatically moved all those reports for you. Is that actually possible?
I'd manually move the reports instead of relying on automatic migration, by backing up the report server database, application files, and configuration files from the old server and restoring them on the new server.
