Throughout the definition phase of the "Cash Flow" statement, I have come across a certain issue regarding the sign of the (net balance). As described below;
Reports > Financial > Advanced Financial
Report One
Row definition:
Report Type:
The report details are shown below;
Bank Balances and Cash /Unrestricted |
X |
Bank Balances and Cash /Restricted |
Y |
Total |
X+Y |
Report Two
Row Definition:
Report Type:
The report details are shown below;
Bank Balances and Cash /Unrestricted |
X |
Bank Balances and Cash /Restricted |
-Y |
Total |
X+(-Y) |
Question:
Why is the value of (Y) associated with the second category (Bank Balances and Cash /Restricted) differs when the report type is changed ?
Considering that Y is the same value (for instance 654,444 ) which means same calculation criteria, but different signs.
Please clarify.
Your efforts are highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hello Mahmoud,
I guess you calculations for both reports for this field does not match, first one might bring the cash category to the report and the second one might be calculating the cash based on your activities, you will need o review both reports formulas and check how it works, these reports are based on your business needs and other people desn't have the same formulas, that's why I am "guessing" the resons!
Any clarification.
Thanks,
