Right time to make a Big Translation file Import ( in DYN365CE)

Posted on by 315

Hello everyone,

let me explain the context step before to ask you the question

1) I exported a big translation file(Entities, Entity Fields, Views, Dashboards, etc...) from Sandbox number 2
2) I updated the translation file (21000 translated words for 3 languages: IT, FR, SP)
4)  Then I make a solution transport from Sandbox 1 to Sandbox 2.

Question: Can I import the updated translation file after Step 3 or I will lose something.

Thanks, Regards & Enjoi

    Hi

I normally only import translations to Sandbox/Dev and as long as the components (entities, fields etc) are in the solution, the translation will go across with the solution. You should not have to import that separate.

You could verify this by unzipping the exported solution. Open the customisation file and spot check to make sure the translations are in the solution file.

    Hope this helps
