New Dynamics version - difficulties connecting from a Java-based application

We are having some difficulties connecting from a Java-based application to an exposed web service on Dynamics 365FO (endpoint = https://d365fo.igs.eu/namespaces/AXSF/soap/services/IGSPurchRequestImportGroup).

This custom application is able to call the web service on the old production environment (name = PROD, version = 10.0.26) but not the same on the new one  (name = D365, version = 10.0.38).

A  generic "500 - Internal error" is returned by the call. The application generates an exception each time it calls the web service on D365 (see attachment SOAP_log.txt). 

We tried to perform calls using PostMan program and Oauth 2.0 authentication method and the test fails with code 1287 - Insufficient information exists to identify the cause of failure (see attachment SOAP_response.txt).

    Hey, were you able to solve the issue. I am having same issue, our customer updated their D365 on premise to version 10.0.38 and we are not able to download data using our java based application or postman. We are getting internal server error 500 and no additional info. Nothing was changed on the system since 4 years, except the D365 version.

    The first place I'd check is the event logs for F&O (Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Dynamics). There is a good chance that you'll find more details about the error than what's shared externally.

    In addition to what has been mentioned by others, test and debug the service in F&O to see what's going on. I am guessing that your custom service in F&O is probably causing the error due to upgrading to the latest version of F&O.
