Is it possible to get all the Purchase and Production Item for a BOM on Planning Worksheet when we run Regenerative Planning Currently I need to use individual filters for all the components which doesn't seems feasible if you are having large no. of component item in your FG.

if the FG demand comes from a Sales Order. The RM and FG will show up on the planning worksheet.

    Hi Gulshan,

When you run the Planning Worksheet, are you checking both MPS and MRP boxes? The MPS calculates the direct demand (which FGs are needed), and the MRP calculates the indirect demand (which RMs / subassemblies are needed for these FGs / other subassemblies). The resulting output from the Planning Worksheet will show recommendations for Production, Purchase, Transfer and Assembly, which you can them act upon. Purchases and Transfers can be pushed down to a Requisition Worksheet for further review before they are made into orders.

Is this what you are trying to do? I see no reason why you should have to set a lot of manual filters. I've helped implement the manufacturing module at many companies and the most commonly set filters are usually date ranges + warehouse locations (and forecast, where applicable).

I seldom see manufacturers use an item filter in a live environment (maybe for training or demonstration / testing purposes). If you lock in an Item or Prod. BOM No. filter when running the Regenerative Plan, you're effectively telling NAV not to look at anything besides the Item(s) you've filtered on. That's not an ideal way to run MRP for a business.

I hope this helps. If my response has answered your question, please verify by clicking Yes next to "Did this answer your question?"

Well, I guess no one able to answer this. So, as per my personal R&D I can conclude that there is no such way. User has to define their Item Code in such a way that he can get the FG and Components in one filter criterion.
