Hi,

I'm using Intercomapny transactions between two companies with other LCY - EUR and GBP

I'm using file location as a transfer type.

Tell me please, is there a chance to set up Intercomapny that I can send sales order from EUR company in EUR currency witjout put EUR code in Currency code and then register purchase order in GBP company also in EUR? I need to set currency code as EUR in sales order but I want to leave this field empty becasue in EUR comapny EUR is LCY.

In tansfer type - database it works, with leaving currency code empty but with file location I need to put EUR which is LCY on sales order.

    Hi,

For now the only possible workaround is indeed to use the local currency (EUR in your case) also as a "currency" (with the exchange rate = 1:1).

Yes, I agree that this workaroudn doesn't seem to be optimal as it leads to a mix of "local currency transactions" ... some with currency code = blank und some with currency code = EUR .... I can imagine this is not optimal on some reports where users probably want to create totals per currency etc.. However the amounts should be okay in the transactions and in the entries.

Users should only use the “EUR” currency code for IC transactions / IC vendors / customers.

But the point then is how to limit the use of “EUR” as currency code for IC transactions only !?

This is currently under discussion with the Product Management. I hope we have news about this somewhen next week.
