We need to backdate the cost for a certain item. We have transactions on the system (for November) that have not yet been posted so I want to set a cost price as of the 1st Nov to capture the standard cost against the transactions so we can measure price variances throughout the month.

The system does not allow me to change backdated. How I can activate item costs in backdated

My understanding is that this is NOT possible. You may need to do an adjust for Close and adjust once posted.

You cannot activate cost version for the past by design.
