What is a sign that your Dynamics 365 CE/CRM support model has outgrown its environment

As Dynamics 365 CE/CRM environments grow, the support model does not always grow with it. I am curious what others have seen as the earliest warning sign that the current model is no longer enough.

Was it recurring issues that never reached root cause, increasing hesitation around deployments, too much knowledge concentrated with one or two people, unclear ownership across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, or an enhancement backlog that kept getting pushed aside by support work?

For teams that have gone through this transition, what sign made you realize the problem was no longer just individual support tickets, but the support model itself?

    Hi Travis,

Can you explain what exactly you mean by “support model” in this context?

For a mature Dynamics 365 CE + Dataverse + Power Platform + Azure estate, I would therefore recommend establishing a D365/Power Platform Support & Operations framework with clear RACI, L1–L4 ownership, SLA/priority definitions, RCA/problem management, ALM/change management, knowledge management, monitoring, governance and continuous-improvement KPIs.
