Same data in 'No.' field in Production BOM page.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

In 'Production BOM' page within the Lines fasttab whenever I entered a type 'Item' & a 'No.' which was already there it'll take it again. But it shouldn't be like this. The 'No.' field must not take the same numbers in subsequent entries.I test this by creating another primary key as 'No.' but it doesn't helped me.

Can anyone suggest me how should I proceed??

                                                                                              Thank You,

Basically, if No. is the primary key, you already should not be able to create a record with the same value.

I advice you to check this issue inside the table itself, as it can be a situation that it is an incorrect page functionality that just depicts the same number whereas in the table the number is present inly once.

You can not change the primary key of Production BOM Line table. This would affect the standard functionality.

You can write some code to check, if the Item No. is already there is current BOM or not? If it is there then, you should give some error message.

    Hi Rajat,

It is strange, have you done any customization in these objects?
