How can I deactivate the screen that wakes up when there is a change of day and time at midnight?

This screen interrupts the posting or other processes in Great Plains.

Andrew, thanks for posting about the dex.ini line -- I completely forgot about that. That's needed too.

Andrew is correct, the Dex.ini setting SuppressChangeDateDialog=TRUE will stop the dialog showing.

However it also stops the user date from changing.

In the latest GP Power Tools build 28.7 release I have added the SuppressChangeDateForce=TRUE dex,ini setting which works in conjunction with the previous setting to suppress the dialog, but also force the data change.

If you want to roll Dex.ini Settings out to all workstations, use the GP Power Tools Dex.ini Configuration window. but.....

Also in this release as part of the Automatic Logout feature is a system wide option to select the behaviour you want (without needing to update dex.ini settings). You can select from default (using Dex.ini settings) or Show Dialog, or Hide Dialog No Change, or Hide Dialog with change. This setting can be made in one location for the entire system (assuming GP Power Tools is installed on all workstations and servers). It was added to stop this dialog interfering with logging out of sessions past midnight.

    Regards

To suppress the change of date dialog, include the line SuppressChangeDateDialog = TRUE in the Dynamics DEX.INI file. If the line is already present but set to FALSE, change the value to TRUE.

In the Professional Services Tool Library, there is an option to have it automatically update the user date at midnight.

Install and open up the PSTL and select the box next to Update User Date option in the System Tools section of the screen.

    I hope this helps.
