Value Entries from Output Journals

Hi,

I have an issue where a value entry is for a consumption journal is updating the last direct cost on the item card. I've attached two examples. In each example, you will see there are three value entries for the exact same item, exact same production journal. There is one item ledger entry that sums the value ledger entries.

I can't figure out why there is a negative value. I confirmed the negative value does not equal any Capacity entries. The source code for the positive and negative amounts are both INVTADJMT. It looks like the Invoiced Quantity is updating the last direct cost.

We are using FIFO valuation and in inventory setup, Automatic Cost Posting is checked and automatic cost adjustment is set to always.

If anyone can shed any light on this, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,

    Hi,

What's the costing method for FG items ?Whats "Entry Type" for -ve output Entry ?

If FG Item's costing method is Standard , then that entry type should be "Variance".

its happen because Production Cost lower than Raw materials cost . That's the reason system post that entry .

    Regards

Those are the adjustment entries or costing entries that system calculates automatically.

    Item is setup as FIFO.

I see that, but I need to know why.  The problem is the Last Direct Cost on the item card is coming from one value entry, not the sum of the value entries.  This is causing the incorrect cost to populate on the purchase order.
