Fail to rename the AxDB Database.

Hi guys,

 I'm trying to rename the AxDB database  but I'm unable to do it, is this because the AxDB is some kind of system database or master database that the name cannot be changeable?

    You should be able to rename it.

    It must be in use by some process.

    Before renaming it, you must ensure that all Microsoft Dynamics services are stopped.

    If this is a OneBox environment you must also shutdown the iisexpress (it can be found on the tray).

    And, just in case it still doesn't let you rename the DB, stop the World Wide Web service.

    Hi Andre,

    Yes, the reason of this is because I am upgrading my Dev Environment from AX 2012 R3 to D365, which I am  following a documentation to do it:  

    docs.microsoft.com/.../data-upgrade-2012

    one of the steps  from the documentation talks about renaming the database, were actually I am stuck:

    I Will be glad for any advice!

    Thanks Pedro actually this works.

    I stopped these services to rename the database.

    Management reporter 2012 process service

    Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations – Batch Management service

    Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations – Data import/Export Framework service

    World Wide Web Publishing Service

    After I stopped them I rename the database and then start the services again.
