Does anyone know if the Equinox L5300 is compatible with Microsoft RMS?
My consultant is telling me that only the Topaz TM-LBK750-HSB-R and VeriFone MX860 are compatible signature capture devices, which I find very hard to believe.

I would be inclined to check the communication protocols of this unit vs the other two. If they talk the same way, they should be able to communicate with RMS just fine.
The other thing to do is to talk to your consultant and ask them specifically why this one won't work with RMS. It could be that the other two units have been thoroughly vetted and this one hasn't. It -may- work with RMS--it just haven't been tested yet.
