Hi All,

Is there any way I can make a field mandatory in business central either with AL or with some setting?

    Hi Rupali,

    It looks like you can use the following properties in AL for basic mandatory settings:

    NotBlank:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/properties/devenv-notblank-property

    ShowMandatory:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/properties/devenv-showmandatory-property

    If you need to further validate that a user-entered value is valid, you may need to write an expression in AL. (as discussed on the ShowMandatory page)

    can we also male the links mandatory with similar approach?

    I want to make attaching links mandatory on item card page under attachements?I am trying to do that into AL but it does not really let me do so.
