I am looking for a solution to Inventory Reporting across multi-application databases. I will start with this generic question because I know there are many item attributes that must be taken into consideration.
This could very well be a customization, but I know that we can't be the first to come across this issue. Any information is appreciated. Even if there is a third party product available that anyone is aware.

You could use the Microsoft PinPoint tool to possibly find a third party product that offers this type of add-on functionality. The link to the tool is pinpoint.microsoft.com/.../Default.aspx.
