Hi,

I need to do an in place upgrade from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2019 or 2022.

But Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Nav version 13.0.32943.0 is on the server.

So the question is if MS Dynamics 365 BC v13 is compatible with Serv er 2019 or 2022 and can an in place upgrade of the OS be done?

Thanks for the reply but the first two links are not related to my version. The third link is related to "Dynamics 365 Business Central April 2019" - v14 from 2019 - but mine is v13 from 2018.

The best link I can find is https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicsnav-2018-developer/system-requirements-for-microsoft-dynamics-nav which relates to "Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018".

Not a perfect match but v13 came out in 2018 and NAV is 2018 so maybe its OK. And it says the NAV 2018 requirements includes Server 2019 and 2022.

Whats the difference between "Dynamics 365 Business Central v13" and "Dynamics NAV 2018" ?

The main difference is that NAV 2018 is final version of NAV product . BC13 is first version of business central , successo of NAV.

- I plan to do an in place OS upgrade from 2016 to 2019 or 2022

Hello,

Business Central v13 supports Windows Server 2016 and 2019, but not 2022.
So, you can safely upgrade to Server 2019, but not to Server 2022 unless you upgrade Business Central to at least v19 first.
