0x80048470 - Importing CRM Solution

I am trying to import an unmanaged solution but for some reason I am getting the following error:

Failure: 0x80048470 - The entity relationship role of the referencing entity is required when creating a new one-to-many entity relationship business_unit_new_contract.

It's interesting because I've opened the costumizations.xml and the relationship is there. Also, when I look up at the exported solution entity that has the relationship, the relationship is also displayed.

At first, I was receiving an 0x8004803A error as shown:

Failure: 0x8004803A - The import has failed because component  of type 50 is not declared in the solution file as a root component. To fix this, import again using the XML file that was generated when you exported the solution.

So, I opened the solution.xml and added a new for that particular type, which was not in the file.

Has anyone ever experienced that? Also, This relationship shown is between businessunit and one of my entities.

Is there any way of fixing it through database? What would be the best solution?

Please check if you have added child business unit role.

Can you check the xml file of the solution ? and search given field in it?

Hi. I have met same error. In my case it helped me to add a primary entity from the relation to the solution. Hope that helps...

In fact, I recommend you to create a support case with Microsoft.

Any engineer can help you to determinate what happen in your import process.

Thanks for your reply.

Well, I've checked the relationship in the solution I want to export and the relationship exists so I do not understand that error.

I am trying to import this solution to a empty organization/project. I have created a new one and wanted to import the solution but I am getting such error. This would be my clean testing environment.

Is there any way to walk around it?

My name is Andres Guzman, I'm glad to help you

The best way to solve this issue is checking your relationship directly in the CRM application to add or remove that you need or not.

Modifying the solution XML's files or changing something directly to the DB is a process not supported for Microsoft.
