    Hi Visvash Walia,

That is because the cost and sales prices of items are not specified in the project module but in the inventory. Just open your released products, open the sales order tab and enter a sales price. This is then the price that you should see in the item requirement.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Visvash Walia,

And is your procurement category linked to a project category?

There is a specific tab available in the procurement category form.

Can you show us a screen print of the PO project tab?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Now i am able to enter Sales Price in PO line Level because i have enabled the second project Purchase Order parameter "item consumption" . But i don't understand what is exactly reason behind this. Can you please clear me all this ?

    Thank you !

    In addition to my comments:

As i am using procurement Category or Service Item(Non-Stocked Item) , so enabling Project Purchase Order would not do any effect because I think those parameter are only for stocked Item . please correct me here on this also

    Thank you!

    Hi Visvash Walia,

I am a bit confused. What I got is that you have a procurement category in your PO and that you cannot edit the sales price, right?

I cannot believe that activating the parameter item consumption will allow you editing the sales price field.

Do you have the procurement category linked to an item or is it just the procurement category that you entered?

The sales price for your procurement categories can be setup by activating the parameter 'set the cost price as the sales price by default. It would be interesting to see if you can manually edit the sales price.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello Ludwig,

I found a strange thing after testing many times. I was unable to enter sales price in PO Line Level and I was thinking that it was due to enabling the Project Purchase parameter. But I think i was wrong.

Test 1:  Enable the Project Purchase parameter , then create Purchase order for Project and then I entered Procurement category (not related to Item , only Procurement category) then i switched to PO Line Details and switch to Project Tab. I select Project category and tried to enter Sales Price. But i was enable to enter sales price then I switched Tab to another and again try to enter then i was able to enter sales price perfectly.

Test 2: Disable the Project Purchase parameter, then create new purchase order from project and entered procurement category(not related to Item) then switched to Project tab( in PO Line Details) and selected the Project category and try to enter sales price . I was able to enter sales price in same time (no need to switch the tab or refresh form).

I don't understand this behavior of AX. Do you have any suggestion on it.

    Thank you!

    Hi Visvash Walia,

My demo system behaves a bit different.

What AX Version do you use (r2/r3 cu7/8/9...)?

Do you have a developer around you who can probably help you debugging this thing and find the underlying reason for your observed system behavior?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Can you please tell that i have asked in my previous comment :

    Hi Visvash Walia,

For non-stocked items and purchase categories you typically do not post the packing slip. There are features available that allow you doing that but I have hardly seen a company that makes use of it.

For that reason, it is correct what you write above that it does not matter whether you activate the parameters for the item requirement or not as the expense will be posted at the time the invoice is recorded.

Regarding the price field editing issue, it would be great if you could keep us updated if you find the underlying reason for this system behavior. I tested this in R3 CU9 and everything worked fine.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
