Hi,

In Business central I am actually having trouble finalizing a Released Production order to a Finished Production order. I am getting the error that is shown below. I actually checked all Item Tracking Lines and could not find any that was set to 15.

Anyone is familiar with this problem?

If requesting support, please provide the following details to help troubleshooting:

Error message:
Qty. to Handle (Base) in the item tracking assigned to the document line for item 800307 is currently 15. It must be 1.

Check the assignment for serial number SC2505130074, lot number PSW2505160001, package number .

Released Production order - Problem with Item Tracking Lines
    Hello @Joey Portier,

If possible, review or trace the codeunit or process being executed by the job queue. It may not be committing the transactions correctly or might be leaving behind orphaned tracking lines or reservation entries. There could be a need to include logic that explicitly resets, validates, or clears item tracking lines before each execution to prevent this accumulation of errors.

If you're not able to debug this yourself, it’s highly recommended to contact your Business Central partner or a technical consultant who can analyze the job queue logic through the AL code or event subscriptions. They can help implement safeguards to prevent unprocessed or partially processed tracking lines from persisting across multiple job queue cycles. Debugging in a sandbox environment with the same setup could also help pinpoint where the breakdown is happening.

Hope debugging into system will resolve your query!

    Regards,
    Mansi Soni

Released Production order - Problem with Item Tracking Lines
    Hi Mansi & Yun,

Thanks for the replies. So the problem does still occur if I operate directly from the production order page and make a production order completely manually. What I did notice was that each time a production order is made with the job queue the item tracking line error keeps growing (15->16->17->etc. Error message:
Qty. to Handle (Base) in the item tracking assigned to the document line for item 800307 is currently 15. It must be 1.
) while if I try to do it manually the amount stays the same (If error shows 15 then next time it also shows 15).

So the root cause does seem to be related to the job queue but even after deleting all production order something (Most likely somewhere in the hidden entries like you mentioned) is not being deleted.

I agree with Mansi's idea. If we do not go through the Job Queue and operate directly on the page, will this problem occur?

    Thanks

Released Production order - Problem with Item Tracking Lines
    Hello,

Since all your Item Tracking Lines show a quantity of 1 and the error still persists, it’s likely that the problem is not visible in the standard tracking lines but somewhere deeper in the system’s temporary data or hidden entries. Because this started happening when you run the Released Production order through a Job Queue, it could be related to how the Job Queue processes or batches the production order posting, possibly causing duplicated or aggregated tracking quantities behind the scenes. Sometimes, during Job Queue runs, temporary buffers or cached entries don’t clear properly, leading to mismatched quantities like the 15 showing up internally even though it’s not visible in the UI.

Kindly check if there are any custom Job Queue extensions or event subscribers that might interfere with item tracking processing.

Additionally, try running the same production order posting manually (outside of the Job Queue) to confirm if the issue is strictly related to the automated process. If it only fails via the Job Queue, you may need to review the Job Queue setup or add extra error handling/logging to isolate where the quantity aggregation happens internally.

    Hope this will help you!

    Regards,
    Mansi Soni

Released Production order - Problem with Item Tracking Lines
    Hi,

So I tried checking that and all Item Tracking Lines are unique and showing only a Qty. of 1. But the same error remains. I tried deleting all Production orders, then make them again but the same error also remains. This problem started when we tried to make a Released Production order via a Job Queue.

It looks like a problem with the Item Tracking Lines but I can't seem to find the value of 15 that is showcases.

Released Production order - Problem with Item Tracking Lines
    Hi,

I think this can happen if item tracking was auto-assigned incorrectly or edited manually during flushing or consumption. To fix this, go to the Item Tracking Lines on the consumption journal or the relevant production journal and verify that each serial number is assigned only once with the correct quantity (likely 1 in this case). Clear and reassign tracking if needed, then reprocess. It might work.

    Thanks.
