Hi All,

I'm struggling with finding a solution on the following problem.

In a Purchase Order you can add a product and select a specific quantity

Here i have two products one with Quantity 10 and another with Quantity 20

In Purchase Order Receipt Product you can select a Quantity to be billed, but this quantity cannot be larger than the one initially entered.

So, if i add only 5 out of 10 product, there are remaining 5 from the same product that needs to be billed

How to add a new filed that stored the remaining 5 quantities left from this product?

I've checked the OOB filed on the form but i didn't found any for remaining quantity or similar.

This is needed because every time when we add a new Purchase Order Receipt Product, the sales person need to return back to the Purchase Order to see the quantity added originally and then to refer to the quantity being selected from the Purchase Order Receipt Product, and knowing the difference he knows how much left to add in a new Purchase Order Receipt Product.

SO simplify everything it is easier if there is a filed that show the remaining quantity.

Hope i've manage to explain what i'm trying to achive.

Hi Kiril,

when testing this scenario, I can see "quantity received" on the purchase order product (I created a Purchase Order receipt product with the amount of 8).

This attribute shows what amount has been added on the respective receipt.

Furthermore, when I create a new Purchase Order Receipt (and/or product), the system automatically fills the remaining quantity:

My understanding is that by having that automated "recommendation" for the quantity, a user does not necessarily need to check the previous Purchase Order Receipts of that Purchase Order.

Is that the scenario you are looking for?

Hi Ioannis,

I notice that it shows it, but in our case, we wanted to know what the quantity is before creating a new purchase order receipt product.

Anyway, I've managed to resolve my problem.

An in a view now we can display this new field so anytime when a salesperson wonders how many products have left to be billed he can see it.

I personally found this way more elegant and I'm sure it will cost nothing to MS to add it OOB. It is easy when working with 5 items to track how many remain unbilled, but when we are talking about 10000 thousand, and you bill part of them every time, then it is not very useful to relay on the Quantity field only as you might need this information in advanced.
