You need to login to the CRM server. Go go to start and type Event Viewer. Here's a generic description on working with the event viewer: technet.microsoft.com/.../cc749408(v=ws.11).aspx
The timeout should be caused by something, and the event viewer might show why.

You might want to check te events log in the event viewer on the CRM server to see what's happening.
