Can you change the exporting default in a report from .rpt to .pdf for a specific user/workstation?

I am assuming you are referring to the default export format that shows when you print preview a report and then click the export button from within the preview, correct? I am not aware of a way to change this. Though it would primarily be crystal reports code at that point. Found the following post online... looks like it would take some custom code:
