I originally posted this in Dynamics 365, but think it might fit better here.
I recently upgraded from Dynamics CRM 2016 on-premise to Dynamics 365 on premise version 8.2.2.112. I have an odd problem that only affects the D365 mobile app. It seems to be a problem for some users, including myself, both in my prod and dev environments.
When I launch the mobile app and select New Activity >> Task, the Create Task form fails to load. The header "Create Task" and the footer controls (Save, Edit, Cancel) are on the screen, but the loading spinner sits there forever. This is the case regardless of where I create the task (home screen, from an account, or from a dashboard). Users experiencing this issue can temporarily resolve it by opening an existing task in the app. After they open an existing task, they can create tasks with no issues, but after a time (few hours usually), the issue comes back.
The log files and event logs show nothing. No errors seem to show up. This is the case on iPad, iPhone, and Android phone (haven't tried an Android tablet). iPhone and iPad D365 app versions are 4.3.18101.0.0, uninstalled and reinstalled since the upgrade.
Wondering if it had to do with a business rule or custom field, I have removed all business rules and custom fields (one at a time, testing between). The main Task form now has only what it was born with, and I'm still seeing the same issue.
I'll take any suggestions!
