Warning message when creating new NAV server Instance

Hi

I have created a new NAV server instance using the administrator tool in NAV 2013.

It displays a warning message on top " the configuration setting 'serviceaccount' is not valid for Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server.

The instance is working fine, i can edit it , start and stop it. The RTC client also works fine on this instance.

I know it is a know issue with the NAV 2013 build 34745

We do not want to apply the platform hotfix , so my question is  this just a warning message or will it give problem to the database or connection in future.

    Thanks for the reply.

    We will go ahead with the platform update. For the client machines, we are using two terminal servers so updating the files over there should not be a big problem.

    Hello Gary,

    I am not aware of any issues but I highly encourage you to download and install the latest CU from the partnersource. The only issue I have found with getting the latest platform files is having to apply that same update to the clients (which might be time consuming, troublesome or both) but in my case most of the times I decided to create a small script (choose your prefered scripting language!) that took care of the file replacing part for the users. Nice and easy :-)
