MRP Planning and Maximum Production Output

Posted on by 5

Hello,

When running MRP in NAV the software does not take into account any maximum production output for products that we produce. For example if we have an order for 1000 products but can only produce 100 per month, NAV tries to order materials immediately to produce all 1000 when running MRP but in reality we would not require all materials for almost 10 months.

This issue often makes the order quantity's suggested by MRP completely unrealistic, and we must resort to just working them out manually instead.

Is there a straight forward solution to this issue ?

Any help greatly appreciated,

Thanks
