Word Templates and GP 2013 and Office 2013

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I created SOP Blank Order, Packing Slip and Invoice on a machine running GP 2013 and Word 2010.  Everything worked perfectly.  When I ported the forms over to the client's GP 2013 and Word 2013, the Order and Packing Slip came over fine but the invoice is all out of whack.  If I remove their logo, the invoice works fine.

When I add the logo back in (either through Template Configuration) or inserting it into the form after removing content control and the company logo (and not touching the bookmarks-they are still there, I can see the grey capital I), nothing prints except the headers and footers.

I have also tried starting fresh on the Word 2013 with a new report XML and new template but have the same issue.  GP 2013 on the client computer is 12.00.1920 while GP 2013 on my computer is 12.00.1826.

Is there is an issue with Word 2013 and the SOP Blank Invoice Template? The order and packing slip use the same logo and everything was inserted the same way.

It is really frustrating.

Thank you, Carol Zablocki

The first thing I would do is update that computer so that it is running the same build. That may not help, but it may be an issue. Personally, I have not experienced this, but I also haven't tried to transfer templates between machines of different builds.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
