Why won't my CDS show data from Dyanimcs HR 365?

Hi there,

I am trying to integrate my Dynamics 365 for HR system with Power BI, going through the Common Data Service to do so. However, it seems like my D365 HR system isn't integrating with the CDS even though I think I have all the settings correct (see below).

Here is an example data entity showing what I mean (this is the same for all the others too) - it just comes up blank even after refreshes and 'view all' in 'select view' settings. Any one have any ideas?

Hello CBLaker,

Thank you for the question - a couple of initial questions:

1. How long as the CDS integration been enabled, and do the logs happen to show any issues with moving data?

2. What does the data (in this case, Benefit type) look like within D365 HR (Talent)? One of the entities that might be also good for comparison is Employees and the CDS Employees entity - if they are not integrating, we may need to look further.

Thank you for your quick response.

1. I think since at least February 2019 (no one's ever tried to do anything with the CDS data though until now). I have turned the connection on and off today but that didn't make a difference.

2. The benefit entity is fully populated in D365 HR system. For our employees - in D365 HR the cds_worker (employee) entity comes up with all our employees, but with the error bars coming up but also a success message, when I sync the data. In the CDS only two employees are in the cds_worker entity. See both below:

From a first glance it could be the error messages are related - if you compare a successfully synced worker record with a non-syncing worker record, are there any major differences that stick out? Fields that are blank in one but populated in the other?
