    Hi,

Full SQL Backup on daily basis is always advisable.  This again depends on the DB size.

Full backup would include the entire database (Data & Customizations)

Also in case of Full Recovery model, one should schedule the daily log backup to avoid increase in Log File Size.

Recommended to take the full backup. (Automate the process to shrink the database backup file, it will save the hard drive space)

We usually recommend to do full backup on a daily basis. In case of large databases, an incremental backup can be made, but it is more time-consuming to restore if needed. Also, pay attention to the hard drive array for your database. Absolute must to have it RAID 1 or RAID 10 (mirroring of drives).

    Hello,

Database backup includes everything data and the objects, you don't need a separate log backup for Dyanmics Setup and customization. It is recommended to have a daily database backup and schedule transaction log backup for every few hours to minimize work loss in case of a failure and the log backup will help to reduce the size of the transaction log of the database.
